Cookie policy
Last updated 10 August 2026.
This site uses as few cookies as it can. Nothing that is not strictly necessary is set unless you say yes.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to work and are set without consent, which UK law permits.
- laravel_session — keeps your session while you use the site. Expires when you close the browser or after a period of inactivity.
- XSRF-TOKEN — protects the contact form against cross-site request forgery. Without it the form cannot be submitted safely.
- arsandhu_consent — remembers the choice you made about analytics, so you are not asked on every page. Kept for six months.
Analytics — only with your consent
If you accept, StatCounter is loaded and records anonymous usage statistics: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, roughly where in the world they are. It is used to understand which writing is worth continuing, not to identify you.
If you decline, or close the banner without choosing, StatCounter is never loaded at all. It is not merely disabled — the script is not requested and no analytics cookie is created.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you delete the arsandhu_consent cookie the banner will simply ask again.
No advertising, no tracking across sites
There are no advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no remarketing tags and no cross-site tracking on this site.
