PayTime

Cloud payroll for a market still running it on spreadsheets, with the local tax tables built in rather than maintained by hand.

The problem

Payroll in Pakistan is overwhelmingly manual. The tax bands change with each finance act, and every business maintaining its own spreadsheet is separately re-deriving the same calculation — and getting it wrong in the same ways. The cost is not the software licence anyone avoided paying; it is the corrections.

The approach

Cloud payroll with the tax tables maintained centrally and versioned by tax year, so a business gets the current calculation without doing anything. Credit-based pricing rather than per-employee subscription, which suits a market where headcount moves sharply month to month.

Who built it

PayTime was founded and built by Abdul Rehman Sandhu, a qualified accountant and technology advisor working with businesses globally. The same diagnostic approach behind this venture is the one applied in client engagements.
